64th Annual Fuze Conference

For 2021, the 64th Annual Fuze Conference has its sights set on the development, production, and performance of fuze advancements as they relate to defense and national security within the time of a global pandemic. While warfare is becoming increasingly complex, the continued and enhanced exploration of fuzing is critical. Through its facilitation of effective and productive collaboration between industry, government, and academia during classified and unclassified sessions, the Fuze Conference advances the field and art of fuzing for the benefit of our current and future warfighters.

Air Force Digital Engineering Pitch Day

The Air Force is seeking to identify innovative Digital Engineering (DE) technologies and processes that aid in transforming AF acquisition from “analog” to “digital” and allow the AF to rapidly and continuously field disruptive capabilities. Digital Engineering depends on the creation of virtual, digital models and environments that are nearly perfect, harnessing their full power to learn and experiment so the actual, physical systems are fully integrated and tested before they are produced.

Air Force Virtual Datathon

We have observed that scheduling C-17 squadron aircrew is overly time-consuming, manually intensive and increases the chance of human errors, causing unpredictability, and poor work-life balance. It also causes missed training opportunities, and ultimately inefficient use of resources. Our goal is to optimize short-term decisions while taking into account long-term second & third-order effects, ultimately decreasing the time required to prepare schedules, increasing the predictability for increased mission effectiveness.
